Let's check in!
By Stephanie Beltz
So… how’s it going? We’re officially past the fresh-start confetti stage of the New Year, and this is usually the point when real life starts chiming in. Routines get busy, motivation wobbles, and those shiny goals from January 1st might feel a little quieter now. That’s okay—this is your friendly check-in, not a pop quiz.
This part of the year can feel strange. The excitement has settled, the calendars are filling up, and the expectations we placed on ourselves may feel heavier than we realized. If you’ve noticed your energy shifting, you’re not alone—and you’re not doing anything wrong.
If you’re still going strong with your goals, take a moment to celebrate that. Seriously. Progress deserves recognition, even if it’s small or messy or doesn’t look like what you originally imagined. Consistency isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up more often than not.
Maybe your wins look quiet right now. Maybe no one else can see them. That doesn’t make them any less real. Every choice that aligns with your intention counts, even on the days it feels ordinary.
And if you’ve drifted a bit? Welcome to being human. Falling off track doesn’t mean you failed; it just means you’re normal. Goals aren’t ruined by pauses—they’re only abandoned if you decide not to return to them. Today can be a reset without waiting for a “perfect” Monday or a new month.
This is also a great time to reassess. Do your goals still feel aligned with your life right now? Sometimes we set intentions with the best hopes, then realize they need adjusting. Changing your approach isn’t quitting—it’s adapting, and that’s a strength.
You’re allowed to edit the plan. You’re allowed to make it simpler. You’re allowed to decide that what you need right now looks different than what you thought you needed a few weeks ago.
Maybe your goal has shifted. Maybe it’s smaller. Maybe it looks different than you expected. That still counts. Growth doesn’t have to be loud or dramatic to be meaningful.
If everything feels overwhelming, try narrowing your focus. One habit. One choice. One step forward. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life to make progress—you just need to keep moving, gently and intentionally.
So consider this your permission slip: breathe, reflect, and move forward in a way that feels doable. One small step today is more powerful than an all-or-nothing mindset tomorrow.
Here’s your gentle reminder—you’re allowed to keep going, start again, or rewrite the plan entirely. The year is still young, and you’re doing better than you think 💛
